Dear Spring, Are you really here?

My cousin is obsessed with Hello Kitty. I mean, so am I! Aren't all of us Asian girls big on the Hello-Kitty-lovin'? Well, decided to get in on the Hello Kitty MAC madness and she gave me these cutie-kins. We both declared that the lipgloss smells like Hello Kitty...whatever that means.

And lookie, where does one find Nemo but in our box of Fruit Loops!

Yummy Reeses cupcake from Crumbs that I was snacking on last night as I watched old episodes of Buffy...still got half of it left for tonight.

Tees for Commitment Phobics!

I normally shun commitment phobics in the dating world, however feeling unable to commit to labels, feelings and other things...hmmm I can relate to that. Well my dear friend from elementary school, YES, elementary school...is one big ISH. She is SO cheeky and SO sassy...She is also co-producer of a new fabulous-ISH t-shirt line. I know new t-shirt lines are a dime a dozen but she's got something for everyone whether you're cougar-ish, sweet-ish, smart-ish or maybe you're just Jewish...that's a more commital ISH though. So go and find you're ISH! Here are my fav's:

My New Loves.

Dear Loverflies,
These are my favorite shoes...I haven't seen anyone wear Melissa shoes in the US yet! Well except, yours truly. I heard they were selling them some place in the LES and at Opening Ceremony last year but I never actually saw them. I also heard they had a sample sale in Dec which I sadly missed out on. Maybe some ladies will be donning them this spring. They haven't officially hit the US yet, but I have my own connections...here are some of the ones I'm looking to snag. HRMM...the Vivienne Westwoods are a little more unattainable it seems. Maybe I'll have to go to Brazil to get them!

The skinny on these lovlies is that they are ECO-Friendly, green, vegan and hypo-allergenic. OH and made of the lovliest most comfortable plastic called melflex. Melissa is super PC as they are nice to their employees and recycle their overstock to make more lovely, lovely plastic shoes.

Best,
E.$.

P.S. I love you!

P.S.S.Sneakercon was a bust...so I heard...

Ode to OLD SKOOL.

Dear Friends,
1. Mixtapes by my friend Kenya who has impeccable music taste as well as the great talent for making great playlists. Not to mention...artistic talent for doing up his mixtape packaging. 2. Mixtapes by my favorite DJ's. 3. fancy feather hair thingies by my cousin.

I have been having a mixtape month. I've been listening to all my mixtapes from ones that are just playlists burnt onto a CD out of love to mixtapes mixed and distributed by DJ's. I LOVE THEM. Are mixtapes a dying fad? I hope not. There is a whole art about them besides wanting to bump to them while working or kicking it. Either way I'm still listening!

Yesterday my bamboo earring was blown off my ear by the damn winds in Brooklyn! Needless to say I did not make the FF event but I hope you did! I know I missed out on some good clutches :(

Wish list

I am really not huge on presents. REALLY FOREALLY REALS. I really do enjoy giving more than receiving. For my birthday I usually ask for mixtapes which I believe I've only received about 5 in my lifetime as birthday gifts. That's ok. It is mostly bc people get cheap and lazy around the holidays which is when my birthday falls. The grass is always greener. BUT seriously 2 things I want to get myself...The VANE NEW YORK 2 finger ring. My friend showed this to my on hypebeast a few months ago. I have dreams about this ring -I swear. And since my all black ninja pumas are on their last leg I been looking for some new kicks that I wouldn't mind wearing. I am so wanting to take it back to 7th grade with my adidas sambas...glad to know they still make 'em!

its 51 degrees!

...today in NYC. It may be the last celebratory open-toed shoe day in the city until the Spring! Although, to tell you the truth most women have some busted looking toe game around this time of year due to the lack of open-toe shoe wearing weather. Well even still...I miss wearing my comfy Melissa jellies and the Michael Kors samples I copped that I still haven't worn yet!

Ode to fakeness...

I'm a girl and to me that's only GREAT. Its all about fake hair, fake nails, fake eye lashes...if I can ever figure out how to get fake lashes on damnnit! I'm all about the temporary FAKE! My homegirl in the Bay got me onto Japanese press on nails. MAN press on nails have come a long way and not only that, the Japanese ones have ill designs! These are perfect for me since we are in a recession and I can't be gettin my nails did every other week anymore and more importantly bc I box I can't really keep long nails for very long anyways. A great alternative for me since I can snap them off after a week or whenever I need to and not feel bad bc they cost only $4! Less than a cheap manicure on 125th!
