I've been taking a uber fun dance class called Masala Bhangra for years...its not difficult since the moves are fairly simple but its difficult because you take no breaks and its a serious cardio workout. I leave the class sweating buckets! This is a class created and coined by Sarina Jain. She is awesome! SO AWESOME. She's been doing it for 10 years and now the hype is on since Slumdog Millionaire won so many academy awards. Well, in '07 NY1 came and taped the class that I took. Check out the video and the article here.
And just the other day, the week after the Grammy's a whole crapload of media rushed Sarina. The Daily News published an article and here's the video:

Wouldn't you feel bad if you didn't win when the president came to watch your game? Shame on you, Chicago Bulls!

...And a great rap battle.

Lover bees and Jollibees...
How long would you wait for your yummy delicious Chicken Joy?! My friend waited 2.5 hours this weekend at the new Jollibee in Woodside, Queens. She said it was worth it, that coming from a Filipina native. So I guess it must be good! That or she is deeply deprived of things from her mother country. Well...I have yet to visit as I keep hearing how insane the lines are forming...my brother went by and was greeted with an insane crowd, people are driving in from all over the tri-state to get they Chicken Joy on! For now here is a flick I swiped from my brother's blog.

Doggies, rappers and ballers.
REALLY SERIOUSLY...check out this interview of Mike Schreiber, my hands down fav photographer. Its a good interview and he has a good story not to mention amazing photos. I'm a sucker for B&W's but much more of a sucker for great photos and self-taught artists. People like me {bad, lazy Chinese daughters} have to go to school to learn something and also learn motivation while self-taught artists have this amazing sense of hustle in them. Can't help but envy. As for me? I blame my ancestors, its what Chinese people do. I mean, I thank them and pay respects to them... :)
